  positive Memorial experience

  our local group of x-jw's met on wednesday, 12. april to observe (i.e.

  celebrate) the lord's evening meal.. unlike 2005, this year we met in two groups.

  no individual attended both groups.

  Life is good when one makes choices out of one's own conscience and not because an apocalyptic cult tells you to. I used to go the the memorial at the KH after I left/ drifted away. Then one year I went to a Jayhawks concert instead, 'cause, hey, why bother? This is the second year at Benny K's and there is much more feeling than even the best of the formula memorial's at the KH. (although i do have a childish desire to go to their's just to fake a seizure and spill the wine)

  I know some of it is slight of hand, but I know there is evil in the world. It seems to me that "good" energy, or anything divine wouldn't choose to communicate this way.

  ive had several people whom ive considered friends (jws) basically drop off the face of this earth.

  not once have i really discussed with them my reasons for leaving... actually come to think of it, only one of them has even asked.

  i just responded to her that i still love god, & kept it short and simple.

  Schne,

  You are a good person. I know for a fact my niece and nephew adore you. My little sister thinks you kick *shasta* (I'm trying to cut down on swearing. this is my psuedo swearword). I wish I had been as responsible and, well, grounded when i was your age. Of course this hurts. It will sting a little for a bit. You're in my prayers kiddo!

  oh, and if you forget who I am...I got to visit w/ you this summer and last spring around the Memorial

  his name is rookie to correspond to our golden retriever's name coach.

  the situation in the united states is similar.

  an article in "new york" magazine tells of professional donors who sell a pint of their blood as many as 444 times in a period of only four years.

  but whether it is bought or not, blood is potentially dangerous.

  the irony of it all is the amount of "blood" on their hands. I am an accountable adult. I am responsible for my own life at this point and spiritual growth, but how many did they kill in the short time I've been on this earth? An old freind from Grant Park congergation almost overdosed recently. One of those truely good people, my heart breaks for him. When he was a kid his dad, like many others JW dads would do, beat him under the guise of discipline. Not a swat on the butt, I mean until he needed medical treatment. No remose from the dad ever, he just let the rest of the elder body pat him on the back--Hey man, spare the rod, and you never know what will happen our kids will surely thank us later.

  It's been a rough week and I just keep on thinking about how they indoctinated us (read brainwash) to never stumble our brother. Meanwhile back at the ranch, they raped and pillaged. For some reason tonight I feel like like I'm seeing it for the first time and I am truely dumbfounded, a little sick and worn out.

  I'd really like to see some "instant Karma" for them.

  thank you!!!!!!! when i moved into my apt (first time w/o room mates!) i put up a green striped card that i had just found a week before that qoutes the first two sentances. i never heard the rest in anysort of context.

  I do know that I didn't feel it when my old man slammed his fist on the table and said "Goddammnit! I can't do this!" during the opening prayer for a family study (of the Family book-remember that joy??!!!).

  ok, I'm sorry...yes, i believe I have felt it, but i believe it had much more to do with where my head and heart were.

  Since I received real light, I actually enjoy reading the bible! I'm wondering how many different definitions or explainations of worship I can find here. How do you worship? I'm constantly redefining and/or fine-tuning things after the borg. --thanks
